Journal 2 I've been using Microsoft Word for as long as I can remember. I think I started to use it in earnest around third grade. In elementary school I had had computer class that focused on the basics of Word as well as PowerPoint. From there a lot of my assignments for classes became a paper that had to be typed. Everything I wrote was on Word for a long time, but when I got my Mac laptop, I started to use Pages more often. However, that does not mean that I do not still use Word. More times than not I find myself using Word to check if what I wrote on Pages was correct. Word and my student life go hand in hand. If I did not have word, many of my teachers would have been subject to my terrible handwriting. While I was in high school, teachers would always say to correctly cite my sources and to make sure I am getting my information from credible sources. If I were to ever become a teacher, I would probably say the same thing to my students. It is important for them to know ...

Journal 1: Technology in the Classroom Technology in the classroom is always evolving to incorporate whatever type of technological advancements occur. Teachers do this because it allows to make lessons more engaging or interesting for the student. This is because just as technology evolves, so do the humans that are using it. Their brains and actions begin to revolve around using said piece of technology. By incorporating that new piece of technology, a teacher tries to adapt to the students changing mind. I think the ISTE standard that most resonates with me is Learner. What this entails is that an educator is always learning about in what ways to keep what they're teaching relevant and fun. This aspect is important because by learning about the new ways to teach something, you too are evolving just as the people you teach are. Hello, my name is Padrick Moran. I am currently a sophomore going for a creative writing major. I was born on August 11, 1999 in Miami, Florida, but I moved to Puerto Rico when I was very young so I do not remember much from my time in Florida. Despite my name, I am 100% Puerto Rican, both my parents were born there, with my family roots being both Puerto Rican and Cuban. Going farther back I'm Irish (my last name is Irish) and Spanish. I was raised bilingual, so I'm fluent in both Spanish and English. Some of my hobbies include consuming any kind of digital media, be it movies, tv shows, or videos games. I also enjoy reading, novels and comic books, and writing stories in my spare time. I do this to try to branch out my creativity in pursuit of my two farthest reach dreams: writing movie scripts (and maybe even direct films, but that's even farther out of my reach) or writing novels. Technology has always been a part of my education. At first it was simple computer c...
