Journal 6

The school website that I visited was my old high school's page. However, as I went through the website, I could not find pages for the teachers. There seemed to be something similar to it, but all the pages were blank. The website is broad in terms what it offers, only showing what entices parents to have the school. From what I remember, while I attended, was that there was a separate website where one could view information about the teacher and classes. However, I no longer have access to the website. I checked each grade level to make sure I did not miss anything, but there was nothing to be found.
My school (it was PK-12) was called Baldwin School: baldwin-school.org

Since technology has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, I can easily envision myself using it for my professional responsibilities. Not sure sure how it will help me do it more effectively, though. The best thing I can come up with is that I learn the some of the intricacies some of the programs have to offer. Since I have been using technology for the closest thing to forever, I can say that I will always be using technology in one form or another.

From what I saw at the tech sandbox, I could see my self using a few of those technologies in the future. One of the thing I was familiar with was the SmartBoard, however, I feel that those are slowly becoming obsolete. I remember when they were first introduced when I was in elementary school, only to be replaced a few years later. I also had the opportunity to test some VR devices. VR is something I had wanted to try for a long time, but never had the opportunity to do so. Being able to try it out for the first time was very fun. I hope to be able to use VR in the future, as it has a lot of applications in many different scenarios, including in the class room. However, they are a bit expensive.
